**ALL THAT IS NEEDED TO START IS A GROW TRAY, TRAY STAND, RESERVOIR AND A 5-GALLON BUCKET FOR DRAINAGE
The Pro 360 system comes ready to do the hard work that is not easily possible by hand right out of the box complete with everything that is needed to get started on the 8, 11 and the 14 grow site Pro 360 systems. The 16, 22, 28, 44, 56, 66, 84, 88 and 112 grow site systems will need a small amount of PVC glue (that is not included) to assemble the 1’ water manifold.
STEP 1
Level the grow tray stand to achieve a 2 ½ - 3 degree angle for proper water and nutrient drainage for this run to waste system. On a standard 4x8 grow tray, place a 2” extra height spacer under the legs of the stand 4 feet apart to drain the long way. To drain the short way, place 1” extra height spacer 8 feet apart.
STEP 2
Place the grow tray on the grow tray stand then place the Pro 360 Oxygen Pods on the grow tray in the pattern for that number of plants (use a tape measure to make sure the distances are even between each oxygen pod before drilling any holes).
(SEE NOTES)
Pictures of pods on grow trays showing picture of locations of hole(s) for water distributor(s) to be placed 8, 11, 14, 16, 22, 28, 44, 56, 66, 84, 88 and 112 site systems.
Step 3
Now that we know the location to drill the hole(s) for the water distributor(s). Drill a 1 3/8” hole in the grow tray. (NOTE) a 1-3/8” unibit works best for drilling hole(s) for water distributor(s)
*For 8, 11, and 14 site systems with single water distributor remove the plastic nut from the bottom of water distributor leave the rubber gasket on the distributor side now slide distributor through the 1 3/8” hole in the grow tray from the top and place a level on top of the water distributor install the plastic nut while tightening nut make sure water distributor is siting close to level.
*Larger 16, 22, 28, 44, 56, 66, 84, 88 and 112 site systems require 1” under the tray water manifold to link/attach the water distributors together. The water manifold comes with the kit and is ready to cut to size and PVC glue together. (NOTE) PVC glue not included
**The 16, 22, 28, 44, 56, 66, 84, 88 and 112 site system will need (2) 9/0*PVC elbows that will screw on to the bottom of the water distributors at each end. And for 44, 56, 66, 84, 88 and 112 site systems use the 1” to ¾” tees to connect water distributors together. Next use the PVC tee with a hose barb to connect the 1” PVC together in the center of the water distributors to go down to the water pump in the
reservoir.
Step 4
When linking/attaching water distributors remove the plastic nut from the bottom of the water
distributor leaving the rubber gasket on the distributor side then slide water distributor through 1 3/8” hole from the top of the grow tray.
Step 5
Install the plastic nut(s) on to the water distributors from the bottom of the grow tray (NOTE) Leave the plastic nuts loose when installing the water distributors.
Step 6
Hold the 1” water manifold up to water distributors from the bottom of the grow tray to measure then cut the PVC to size and then glue the PVC together.
Step 7
Screw the distributors in from the top of the grow tray into the water manifold. After water distributors are screwed tight into the water manifold then screw the plastic nut/s that were left loose from earlier on to water distributor(s). Hold water distributors level while tightening the plastic nut(s). (NOTE) Use a level while tightening the nut(s) to make sure the water distributor(s) are close to level
*The grow tray sits at a 2- 2 ½ degree angle for drainage and the water distributors will sit level.
Step 8
Place the proper size reservoir under the grow tray and place the water pump in the reservoir.
Step 9
Install the black hose from the water pump hose barb to the hose barb on the ¾” or 1” tee that is in the center of the water manifold.
Step 10
Drill a 1 3/8” hole on the low side of the grow tray for drainage for this run to waste system place a 5-gallon bucket under 1 3/8” drain hole on low side of grow tray.
Step 11
Plug the easy-to-use Time-R timer into a 110-power outlet and set the clock.
Step 12
Plug the water pump into the Time-R timer and set to timed mode for the Pro 360 system. Set the Time-R timer to water/feed the plants with the watering cycle of your choice.
**The Time-R timer is capable of water/feeding down to 1 second to control the water/feed (volume)which is how much water/feed the plant gets. The Time-R timer is capable of water/feeding up to 19 times per day (frequency) is time between each water/feeding to the plant.
NOW IT IS TIME TO USE THE PRO 360 SCALE AND THE PRO 360 ALKALINITY/WATER EXTRATOR
TO CHOOSE THE WEIGHT AND TIME TO START FIRST WATER/FEEDING.
**Choose your weight before you start *
ALKALINITY PPM = PH REFERENCE FOR 6”x 6” ROCKWOOL WATER WEIGHT SCALE
(these are approximations from testing using Hanna® Alkalinity Meter and Hanna® PH Meter)
(These references are vegetation stage: 78-80 leaf temp temperature; 65-70 humidity; 24/7)
Step 1
Soak the rockwool blocks in a PH of 5.2 with a light nutrient charge (1 – 1.5 EC).
Step 2
Prep the rockwool block with the Pro 360 Alkalinity/Water Extractor that easily attaches to any 5-gallon wet-vac with a 2” hose.
Step 3
Attach the wet-vac 2” hose to the 2” opening of the Pro 360 Alkalinity/water extractor.
Step 4
Turn on the wet-vac and place the presoaked 6”x 6” rockwool block upside down on top of the Pro 360 Alkalinity/Water extractor for approximately 5 seconds.
Step 5
Place the rockwool block on the Pro 360 Scale to see the water content by weight to achieve the desired target water content/weight for starting clones or seedlings.
(NOTE) If the rockwool block is to wet/heavy then place the rockwool block back on to the Pro 360 Alkalinity/Water Extractor for another second or two. Then place the rockwool block back on to the Pro 360 Scale to check weight.
**Keep a gallon of the rockwool soak water handy if too much water is pulled out of the rockwool block and it is too dry/light then add back some of the soak water back into the rockwool block to achieve the target water content/weight.
**There are 3 options when starting plants in this system with 6”x 6” rockwool blocks.
1. The factory plastic wrapper can be left on (wetter)
2. The factory plastic wrapper can be completely removed (dryer)
3. Just the bottom 2”-2 ½” of the wrapper can be removed (wetter on top and dryer on the
bottom) of the rockwool block
(NOTE) This is the best time to cut the factory plastic wrapper if desired for a new growing experience.
Step 6
Place the 6”x 6” rockwool block into the Pro 360 oxygen pod.
Step 7
Soak rooted clone or seedling plugs/mini blocks in a light nutrient charge (PH of 5.5-6.0). Now place the rooted clone/seedling plug/mini block into the 6”x 6” rockwool block.
Step 8
Place the Pro 360 cap that will spread open to go around the stem/base of the plant and will rest on top of the rockwool block inside of the oxygen pod.
Step 9
The Pro 360 water line is precut to size and will attach to the quick connect fitting on the Pro 360 water distributor (NOTE: the water lines are equal lengths and must be kept that way). The other end of the Pro 360 water line needs to be cut at the very end in a 30-35-degree angle then attach the cut end into the Pro 360 cap to the inner circle to start.
Step 1
Remove the Pro 360 water line from the Pro 360 Cap and remove the other end from the Pro 360 Water distributor quick connect fitting by pushing in on the collar and holding down while pulling the water line out.
Step 2
Place the Pro 360 Caps, Oxygen Pods, Water Distributors and Water lines in a tub of water with a ¼ cup of bleach per gal. of water and soak for 10 min.
Step 3
Remove the Pro 360 Caps, Oxygen Pods, Water Distributors, and Water lines from tub of water and lay all parts out to drip dry.
